Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Lay the denim jacket flat on your workspace and place the cardboard inside the jacket to prevent paint from bleeding through.
2. Use pencil or chalk to lightly sketch your desired design on the jacket. Simple shapes, floral patterns, or abstract designs work well.
3. Prepare your fabric paints on the palette.
4. Using small brushes, start filling in your design with fabric paint. Use medium brushes for larger areas.
5. Allow each color to dry slightly before applying another color next to it to avoid bleeding.
6. Once your design is complete, let the jacket dry completely for at least 4-6 hours or as per paint instructions.
7. After drying, follow the paint manufacturer's instructions for setting the paint, usually by ironing the painted area inside out or air curing.
