Upcycled Denim Tote Bag

Transform an old pair of jeans into a stylish and functional tote bag. This project is perfect for beginners looking to explore upcycling and create a unique accessory.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Lay the jeans flat and cut them at the seams to separate the front and back pieces.
2. Measure and cut the fabric to the desired size for the tote bag body (approximately 15x15 inches).
3. Cut the back pockets off if you want to use them as decoration later.
4. Pin the two pieces of fabric together, right sides facing each other.
5. Sew along the sides and bottom, leaving the top open.
6. Turn the bag inside out and press the seams for a crisp finish.
7. To create handles, cut two strips from the remaining fabric (about 2 inches wide and 20 inches long).
8. Sew the strips together to create sturdy handles and attach them to the top of the tote bag.
9. Optional: Add embellishments like patches or fabric paint to personalize your bag.
10. Enjoy your new upcycled denim tote!
