Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Design your table layout: The playing field should be about 48 inches long and 24 inches wide.
2. Cut the plywood: Cut the main playing surface to 48x24 inches. Cut side panels (4 pieces, 24x6 inches) for walls.
3. Assemble the table box: Attach side panels around the playing surface using wood glue and screws to create a shallow box.
4. Cut holes for rods: Mark and drill holes on the side panels for the 8 dowels (4 rods per side). Space rods evenly, about 6 inches apart vertically.
5. Prepare rods: Sand dowels smooth. Attach handles on one end and springs with bumpers on the other to cushion impact.
6. Mount foosball men: Attach players to rods using screws or clips according to foosball men design. Arrange 11 players per side on 4 rods (3-2-3-3 configuration).
7. Install rods: Insert dowels through side panel holes. Use washers to space rods and prevent wobbling.
8. Attach legs: Securely fasten legs to the bottom of the table box ensuring stability.
9. Finish surface: Sand all edges smooth. Optionally, paint or stain the table for aesthetic appeal.
10. Final assembly: Check all rods move freely and players are securely attached. Add rubber bumpers inside walls to reduce ball bounce.
11. Ready to play: Place a foosball ball inside and test gameplay.
