Create a charming vertical garden planter using an old wooden pallet. This project is perfect for small outdoor spaces and allows you to grow herbs, flowers, or small vegetables with ease.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Select a wooden pallet that is sturdy and free from rot or damage.
2. Sand the pallet thoroughly to smooth rough edges and surfaces.
3. (Optional) Apply a coat of exterior wood paint or stain to protect the wood from weathering. Let dry completely.
4. Attach a plastic liner or landscape fabric inside the pallet slats to hold soil.
5. Secure the liner with a staple gun, making sure it is tight and covers all gaps.
6. Fill the pallet compartments with potting soil.
7. Plant your chosen herbs, flowers, or vegetables in the soil pockets.
8. Position the pallet vertically against a wall or fence, or build a simple stand to lean it on.
9. Water the plants as needed and enjoy your new vertical garden planter.
