Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Gather a few leaves from outside or print out clear images of leaves you want to paint.
2. Lightly sketch the outline of a leaf onto the watercolor paper using a pencil.
3. Prepare your watercolor palette by mixing a few green shades and some yellows or browns for variety.
4. Wet the leaf area lightly with clean water using the size 8 brush.
5. Apply the base color of the leaf while the paper is still damp to achieve a smooth gradient.
6. Add details such as veins and shadows using a smaller brush and darker shades once the base layer is dry.
7. Let your painting dry completely.
8. Erase any visible pencil lines gently.
9. Repeat with different leaves or compositions to practice and build your skills.
