Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Select a pallet in good condition without broken or rotten boards.
2. Disassemble the pallet carefully using the saw or a crowbar to separate the planks.
3. Sand all wood pieces thoroughly to remove splinters and rough edges.
4. Measure and cut the wood planks to create four sides and a bottom for your planter box. Example dimensions: 24 inches long for front and back, 12 inches for sides.
5. Assemble the frame by attaching the side pieces to the front and back pieces using wood screws. Use wood glue for extra strength if desired.
6. Attach the bottom planks evenly spaced to allow drainage.
7. Sand the assembled planter lightly to smooth any rough edges.
8. Apply outdoor wood stain or paint to protect the wood from weathering. Allow to dry fully.
9. (Optional) Line the inside with plastic liner or landscape fabric to protect wood and soil.
10. Fill with potting soil and plant your favorite flowers, herbs, or small vegetables.
11. Place your rustic planter on a patio, balcony, or garden space and enjoy!
