Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and cut four 2x4 boards to the desired length for the tabletop (e.g., 48 inches).
2. Cut four additional 2x4 boards for the legs (e.g., 18 inches each).
3. Lay the tabletop boards side by side and apply wood glue between each board, then clamp them together until dry.
4. Once dry, sand the surface of the tabletop until smooth, starting with a coarse grit and progressing to a finer grit.
5. Assemble the legs by attaching two leg boards together in an L-shape using wood screws, repeat for the other two legs.
6. Attach the legs to the corners of the tabletop using screws, ensuring they are secure and level.
7. Sand any rough edges on the legs and underside of the table.
8. If desired, apply a wood stain or paint to the table, following the manufacturer's instructions, and allow it to dry completely.
9. Finish with a clear coat for added protection and durability.
10. Allow the finish to cure according to the product guidelines before using the table.
