Steps:
1. Cut the wooden boards to the desired height for your bookshelf.
2. Sand the boards to smooth out any rough edges.
3. Apply wood glue to the edges of two boards and join them together to form one side of the bookshelf.
4. Repeat step 3 to create the other side of the bookshelf.
5. Attach the remaining boards horizontally between the two side pieces using wood screws.
6. Apply wood glue to the top of the bookshelf and place a board on it. Secure it with clamps until the glue dries.
7. Sand the entire bookshelf to ensure a smooth finish.
8. Apply your choice of stain or paint to the bookshelf, following the manufacturer's instructions.
9. Once the stain or paint has dried, apply a coat of polyurethane to protect the wood.
10. Let the polyurethane dry completely before using the bookshelf.
11. Optional: Add additional shelves by cutting and attaching more boards to the desired height between the existing shelves.
