Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut the plywood into the following pieces: two 15x15 inch squares (top and bottom), four 15x12 inch rectangles (sides).
2. Sand all edges and faces of the plywood pieces smooth using 120 grit sandpaper, then finish with 220 grit.
3. Assemble the box by gluing and screwing the four side pieces together to form a rectangular frame.
4. Attach the bottom square piece to the frame with wood glue and screws.
5. Attach the top piece with hinges on one side to create a lid for storage.
6. Sand the entire assembled stool again to ensure smoothness.
7. Apply wood stain or paint if desired, and let dry.
8. Apply clear finish to protect the wood and let it cure according to product instructions.
9. Optionally, attach felt pads to the bottom corners to protect floors.
10. Allow the finish to dry fully before using the stool for seating and storage.
