Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and mark the pine wood board to create three shelves: one 16-inch piece, one 12-inch piece, and one 8-inch piece.
2. Cut the board along the marks using a hand saw or circular saw.
3. Sand all edges and surfaces of the cut pieces with 120 grit sandpaper, then finish with 220 grit for smoothness.
4. Arrange the three pieces to form a right-angle triangle shape with the 16-inch piece as the base, 12-inch as one side, and 8-inch as the other side.
5. Apply wood glue along the edges where the pieces meet and clamp or hold them firmly together.
6. Drill pilot holes and screw the pieces together for extra strength.
7. Wipe off excess glue and sand any rough spots.
8. Apply wood stain or paint if desired, let dry completely.
9. Apply a clear wood finish to protect the wood, allowing it to dry as per product instructions.
10. Mark the desired corner on your wall, use a level to ensure the shelf will be straight.
11. Drill holes and insert wall anchors.
12. Screw the shelf securely into the wall anchors.
13. Allow to dry and cure before placing items on the shelf.
